Creation of International Arbitration DG

The Prime Minister, Saif Gharib, has issued an administrative decree establishing a General Directorate for International Arbitration, exclusively dedicated to international investment disputes. The directorate is responsible for defending the state's interests in amicable settlement procedures and arbitration before international bodies, as well as monitoring the enforcement of final rulings and coordinating procedures among relevant sectors. It also contributes to drafting related legislation and providing support to local communities and public institutions in drafting contracts with foreign investors. Additionally, it may engage national and international experts to ensure coordinated strategies and a unified approach in the field of international arbitration.
