Today, the Tissemsilt Province commemorates the 65th anniversary of the martyrdom of Colonel El Jalali Bounaama, known as "Si Mohammed," the leader of the Fourth Historical Wilaya. The celebration includes activities such as a visit to the Martyrs' Cemetery, raising the national flag, and reciting Al-Fatihah prayers for the souls of the martyrs. Additionally, a new administrative annex is inaugurated, and an exhibition of photographs is displayed, highlighting his struggle for Algeria’s independence from French colonization. He played a significant role in forming combat units and joining the Liberation War before his martyrdom on August 8, 1961, during a battle in Blida.
