Iran refuses to open Strait until commitments met

The Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister confirmed that his country may soon reach an agreement with Oman regarding the passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz. However, this agreement does not mean the full reopening of the corridor; Iran's commitments must be fulfilled, and the United States' obligations must be met beforehand. The negotiations include the establishment of a joint Iranian-Omani center to coordinate maritime traffic and obtain vessel information, along with preliminary agreements on transit routes and legal and security aspects. Both parties reject any external interference in the strait and emphasize that the negotiations will be limited to Oman only.
