Spanish probes link Moroccans to 21-ton cocaine smuggling

Spanish and Ecuadorian investigations have revealed that an international cocaine smuggling network was receiving financial support from investors in the UAE and was using dummy companies to transport over 21 tons of drugs to Europe via seaports. The network included Moroccan members who were part of the logistical and operational infrastructure, handling the distribution of shipments and legitimizing the operations, which allowed them to pass containers before being discovered. Authorities are continuing their investigations to identify all those involved and the international branches of the network, aiming to dismantle this cross-border drug smuggling operation.
