UNICEF reports 300 children killed in Gaza over 300 days since ceasefire

The airstrikes on Gaza have resulted in the deaths of at least 300 children over the past 300 days since the ceasefire began last October, according to a UNICEF report. The organization confirmed that, on average, one child is killed daily, and hundreds of children have sustained serious injuries. Living conditions for families residing in about a third of the sector’s area have deteriorated amid rubble and debris. Children are suffering from malnutrition, disease, a lack of clean water, and the destruction of healthcare infrastructure. UNICEF called on all parties to adhere to international laws protecting children and to ensure the safe and swift delivery of humanitarian aid.
