The Zryab Association for Arts and Talents in Setif announced the launch of a national competition for short stories and micro-stories, as part of the First National Forum for Concise Literature taking place in Algeria. The event aims to promote and develop short form literary arts such as very short stories and poetic flashes. Entries must be in Arabic, original, unpublished, and not previously awarded. Participants are required to submit a collection of 10 stories. The competition is open to writers over 18 years old. The deadline for submissions is September 5, 2026. Prizes will be awarded during an official ceremony on the sidelines of the forum, which seeks to celebrate rapid literature and raise awareness of it, including workshops and seminars for writers and researchers.
