The article addresses the weaknesses in organizing group trips in Algeria. Traffic safety expert Kamal Menani emphasized that the activity has become haphazardly managed and is often driven by profit rather than safety. He pointed out the need to review the legal framework, tighten oversight of buses, drivers, and organizers, and enforce the requirement of insurance certificates and thorough technical inspections before each trip. He also highlighted that many heavy-duty truck drivers lack basic safety knowledge despite holding qualification certificates, due to the ineffective implementation of training programs. This situation threatens passenger safety and contributes to the increase in traffic accidents during holiday periods. The proposals include establishing strict regulations to ensure accountability among all parties and to protect lives from the hazards of the current chaos.
