Spain is taking exceptional measures along its border with Morocco following the influx of illegal migrants into Ceuta. Two warships have been dispatched to strengthen maritime surveillance in the area as part of efforts to curb irregular migration and drug trafficking. Additionally, the decision has been made to expand the maritime barrier system to include Melilla to ensure the enforcement of immediate return procedures for migrants attempting to enter by swimming. In another development, two Spanish political parties have called for Morocco to be disqualified from hosting the 2030 World Cup, in protest against the migrant flow crisis. They accused Morocco of using migration for geostrategic purposes and of violating human rights.
