The Minister of Water Resources approved a project to supply the states of Biskra and El Genaa to drinking water from the Beni Haroun Dam in Mila Province, with the aim of providing 75,000 cubic meters per day to more than 400,000 residents across the involved municipalities. The project includes the construction of two water pumping and treatment stations, at a cost of 24 billion Algerian Dinars to the public treasury. Its goal is to ensure a comprehensive supply of safe drinking water in both states. Additionally, new water tanks have been installed in El Genaa and Biskra to strengthen water provision.
