Voden's hat-trick ends fast; Mariscas stays in City race
Under the leadership of coach Enzo Marsica, Manchester City’s team successfully restored the brilliance of their midfielder, Phil Foden, after a 10-month decline that saw his psychological and scoring performance deteriorate. Foden, who secured all the individual awards for the 2023-2024 season with 27 goals, scored a European hat-trick against Ipswich Town and participated in the team’s victory over AEK Athens, reflecting a significant improvement in his performance. Coach Marsica stated that he had several discussions with the player to help him regain his position as one of England’s top players, while the club is dealing with administrative pressures due to allegations of financial violations. The team is preparing to face Aston Villa with Haaland returning from injury, although doubts remain about the readiness of some other players.
