National Building Movement leader Abdelkader Bengrina called on Friday, at an election rally at the Houari Boumediene House of Culture in Sétif, for local election campaigns to be grounded in competition over platforms, ideas and candidates’ competence. He urged his movement’s candidates to present development proposals and realistic commitments in a positive tone, and called on citizens to vote and choose qualified candidates. He also stressed the importance of cooperation within elected councils after the elections, and of making local development, the protection of public funds and responsiveness to citizens’ concerns top priorities.
