Hurricane Fausto is forecast to approach Hawaii as a Category 2 storm, with its swells expected to impact the islands as early as Sunday. The storm, currently about 1,300 miles east of Hilo, is likely to weaken to a tropical storm before reaching the area, but uncertainties remain about its exact track and intensity. Hawaii's emergency management is monitoring the situation, with residents advised to prepare for damaging winds and heavy rain. Separately, Tropical Storm Genevieve has formed and is expected to intensify, bringing dangerous surf to Mexico's southwestern coast.
