Democrats aim to regain swing voters

Democratic candidates aligned with the progressive wing, including Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan, are gaining momentum in primary races amid internal party divisions. El-Sayed advocates for universal healthcare and opposes US aid to Israel, reflecting a shift toward more left-wing policies. While rallying support from progressive voters, some Democrats remain skeptical about whether these candidates can secure enough support to defeat moderate opponents and help Democrats regain control in key battleground states.
