Republican Senator Criticizes CDC Autism Website
Senator Bill Cassidy criticized the CDC for its website statement suggesting it is "not an evidence-based claim" that vaccines do not cause autism, asserting that decades of scientific research have proven otherwise. Cassidy, a vocal supporter of vaccines, warned that such language contributes to parental hesitancy and called the statement an insult to the American public. His comments follow his defeat in a Louisiana primary and come amid broader clashes with the Trump administration over health and foreign policy issues.
