Judge restricts BBC from retrying Jan 6 claim
A U.S. magistrate judge ruled that the BBC can explore how President Trump's January 6 speech was interpreted by the public in his $10 billion defamation lawsuit, but cannot relitigate the riot itself. The lawsuit stems from a BBC documentary that edited Trump's comments, suggesting he called for violence, which he denies. The judge also ordered Trump to disclose financial information related to his businesses, a move criticized by his legal team as a narrow and limited discovery process.
