Pakistan court orders hospital transfer for ex-PM Imran Khan
The Pakistani Supreme Court has ordered the transfer of imprisoned former Prime Minister Imran Khan to a hospital due to health concerns. He is to be taken to Shifa International Hospital in Islamabad within 48 hours for medical examination, with his family allowed regular visits and calls. Khan, who has been jailed since 2023 on corruption charges he claims are politically motivated, faces ongoing health issues, including poor eyesight, which his lawyers say have worsened during imprisonment.
