Disney and ABC challenge Trump media regulator
Disney and ABC have filed a lawsuit against the FCC to block an early license renewal process, which they claim is a retaliatory effort linked to the Trump administration’s disapproval of their content. The FCC ordered the renewal for ABC stations shortly after a controversial joke by Jimmy Kimmel about Melania Trump, prompting allegations that the move was politically motivated. The lawsuit contends that such early renewals are unprecedented and that the FCC's actions are a form of government censorship targeting the network.
