Judge replaced in Trump defamation suit
A judge recently appointed by Donald Trump has taken over as lead in Trump's $10 billion defamation lawsuit against the BBC regarding its edited Panorama episode of his 2021 speech. The case is scheduled for trial in February 2027, with Trump requesting a jury trial, while the BBC seeks to dismiss the case. The new judge, Jeffrey Kuntz, was confirmed last month and had previously ruled in favor of Trump in a related defamation case.
