Union Oyster House Plans Management Shift
The historic Union Oyster House in Boston is being sold to the Houston-based Fertitta family, ending its ownership by Joe Milano’s family since 1970. The sale, pending approval from the city’s licensing board, will not affect the restaurant’s staff or operations, which have operated for over 200 years. The new management is linked to Landry’s, a hospitality company also based in Houston, and plans to update the restaurant’s license to include its capacity and outdoor seating.
