Nepal Floods Cause Heavy Losses
A flash flood in northern Nepal's Rasuwa district caused significant destruction, washing away villages and damaging infrastructure, including a hydropower dam. The flood was triggered by melting snow from Tibet flowing into the Bhote Koshi River, with authorities fearing heavy casualties and ongoing rescue efforts. Twelve people have been rescued so far, and officials are monitoring downstream areas closely amid widespread damage estimates.
