Israeli lawmaker damages Palestinian memorial
A far-right Israeli lawmaker damaged a Palestinian memorial with a sledgehammer in the West Bank while under military escort. The incident, involving Zvi Sukkot, has drawn criticism from Palestinians and Israeli officials. The memorial commemorates Palestinians killed in conflicts, including the battle of Karameh and the intifadas. The Israeli military confirmed Sukkot acted without authorization, and the incident has heightened tensions in the region.
