California town opposes Airstream resort
Residents and city leaders in Solvang oppose a proposed Airstream “glamping” resort on the old lumber yard property, citing concerns that it resembles a trailer park and clashes with the town’s Spanish Mission-style architecture. The project includes 31 Airstream trailers, a pool, lookout tower, and other amenities, but faces resistance due to its design and location. The proposal is still under review, with critics arguing it does not fit the character of downtown Solvang.
