Coyote vs Acme Overcomes Setback
Warner Bros. shelved the Looney Tunes-inspired film "Coyote vs. Acme," leading to its status as a tax write-off, but it was rescued by indie distributor Ketchup Entertainment after public outcry. The film, a courtroom comedy featuring Wile E. Coyote suing the Acme Corporation, was completed but was initially kept unseen due to studio decisions; it is now set for nationwide release. The movie evolved from a long-gestating project inspired by a New Yorker story, blending parody of legal dramas with classic cartoon lore, ultimately overcoming studio obstacles to reach audiences.
