Byron Scott's trial approaches as Campbell Hall settles
Campbell Hall, a private school in Studio City, reached a confidential settlement with a woman alleging that former Lakers player Byron Scott sexually assaulted her in 1987 when she was 15. The lawsuit, filed under California’s Child Victims Act, claims Scott assaulted her during a basketball video shoot on campus, which Scott admits but says he believed she was an adult. The civil trial is scheduled for September, with the settlement amount remaining sealed until then.
