Drunk boater caused fatal crash missing hands on wheel

A boat crash in Boston resulted in the death of a 24-year-old woman after the vessel, stolen without permission from a boat club, was operated while the driver was intoxicated. Lawrence Shieh was indicted on multiple charges, including involuntary manslaughter and operating a boat under the influence, with a blood-alcohol level more than twice the legal limit. The crash occurred near Logan International Airport, and the woman, a college graduate and soccer player, was killed when the boat hit a pier.
