US accuses China of cyber attacks on hospitals and government
The US government revealed a major Chinese cyber-espionage campaign targeting numerous federal agencies, including NASA, the Federal Reserve, and departments of Justice and Energy. The hackers, linked to China's military and intelligence, used a Chinese tech company to conceal their activities and carry out attacks since 2018, with some victims including government labs and health agencies. The Department of Justice seized three Chinese domain names associated with the operation, and an official advisory will be issued to help victims remove the intruders.
