Judge approves Paramount-Warner merger
A federal judge approved a settlement allowing Paramount Skydance to finalize its $111-billion acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery, including major film and TV studios. The agreement requires the combined company to produce 30 theatrical films annually, invest $1.5 billion in domestic film production, and maintain historic facilities in Hollywood and Burbank. Critics have voiced concerns over the settlement's strength and its impact on Hollywood talent and jobs.
