United launches basic first-class fare
United Airlines will introduce a new lower-priced first-class fare called "base" starting in fall 2026, offering more restrictions such as paid seat selection and fewer baggage options. Passengers can choose from three fare tiers—base, standard, and flexible—for both first-class and business tickets, with varying benefits including baggage allowances, seat selection, and ticket flexibility. The airline continues to update its offerings, including new seating designs and privacy features, to enhance the onboard experience.
