British Museum updates access to reduce Tapestry queues
The British Museum announced plans to improve access to the Bayeux Tapestry exhibition amid high demand and long queues. Measures include longer opening hours, an audio guide, additional signage, and seating to reduce wait times. The exhibition, which depicts the Norman conquest of England, has been popular since opening, with ticket sales reaching a record level, but visitors have faced delays and overcrowding. The tapestry is on loan from France and will be on display until July 2027.
