Irish official confronts Israeli journalist before Nations League match
Irish soccer officials and Israeli journalists clashed during a pre-Nations League press conference amid tensions over the Israel-Palestine conflict and allegations of racism. The incident followed Ireland’s 3-0 victory over Israel and protests including players wearing black armbands and refusing to shake hands. The match was moved to a neutral venue due to political pressures, and Ireland has called for a UEFA ban on Israel but has resisted boycotting the game.
