France prepares for student protests

France is preparing for a nationwide day of school protests amid ongoing demonstrations by students demanding increased educational investment. Over the past week, protests have involved blocking hundreds of schools, resulting in at least 190 injuries and over 5,000 arrests, including minors. Violent clashes with police have led to serious injuries, such as a student's hand being blown off and another suffering a severe head injury. Despite government promises of measures to address their concerns, protesters and some unions see little progress and continue to call for action. The protests have been politicized, with various political figures condemning or supporting the movement.
