Red Sox aiming to boost home run power this offseason
Craig Breslow, the Red Sox's chief baseball officer, emphasized the team’s need to improve offensive power, particularly homers, after their early postseason exit. Despite some roster adjustments, the team’s power output declined this year, partly due to injuries and Fenway Park’s challenging environment for home runs. Breslow indicated the team will focus on roster construction and training to boost power, especially against elite pitching, with a particular emphasis on acquiring durable, power-hitting players in the upcoming offseason.
