Dem Fundraiser Admits Fault in GOP Foreign Donations Inquiry
ActBlue, the Democratic fundraising platform, has introduced a new passport verification system to address concerns over foreign donations and fraud, following allegations from House GOP investigators. The platform paused foreign contributions in 2025 and claims its new process allows U.S. citizens abroad to contribute securely using a valid U.S. passport. GOP lawmakers, however, remain skeptical, asserting that the verification method is insufficient and that many donations from abroad may still be unverified. The investigation continues as House committees seek clearer answers about the platform's compliance and the true origin of contributions.
