Sam Wood refuses bail in domestic violence case
Sam Wood, a former Bachelor Australia star and fitness coach, remains in custody after being denied bail on domestic violence charges. He was arrested on Queensland's Sunshine Coast and charged with assault and strangulation following an alleged family fight, with evidence including victim injuries and a police call recording. Wood's legal team argued self-defense and mental health concerns, but prosecutors cited risks of reoffending or interfering with witnesses. Several sponsors and fitness influencers have ended their associations with him.
