US targets ICC with sanctions
The US has imposed broad sanctions on the International Criminal Court (ICC), aiming to restrict its resources and operations, and prevent it from prosecuting Americans. The measures include bans on US entities from engaging with the ICC and target its ability to access banking and software services. The US government states the sanctions are necessary to defend sovereignty, while the ICC condemns them as an attack on international law.
