Ohio State's Penalty Performance Signals Concerns
Ohio State's football team secured a 45-16 victory over Maryland but showed issues with discipline, committing eight penalties that extended Maryland drives and hampered their own plays. Despite not achieving a third consecutive 200-yard receiving game, receiver Jeremiah Smith remained a key offensive threat, recording two touchdowns and excelling after the catch. The Buckeyes also demonstrated offensive explosiveness with a 25-yard touchdown run by Bo Jackson, their longest of the season, while emerging defensive lineman Eddrick Houston continued to make impactful plays.
