Roger Marshall sued patients but missed bakery bills
Senator Roger Marshall, a Republican from Kansas, faced controversy after a bakery owner accused his 2020 campaign of unpaid bills for cookies. The campaign initially did not pay a nearly $700 invoice for treats ordered for a primary event but later reimbursed the amount nearly six years later, after the issue went viral on social media. The incident has increased scrutiny amid a competitive Senate race, with opponents highlighting Marshall's past legal actions against patients and criticizing his handling of the unpaid bill.
