Indonesia Releases 20 Green Sea Turtles
Indonesian authorities on Bali's Serangan Island released 20 protected green sea turtles after seizing them from an abandoned boat believed to be used by wildlife smugglers fleeing police. The turtles were found alive during a raid aimed at intercepting illegal trafficking, which is prohibited by Indonesian law since 1990. Two turtles remain under treatment, and officials emphasized the need to prevent future illegal captures of these protected species.
