Australia’s inaugural Michelin stars awarded
Australia received its first Michelin Guide awards, with 11 restaurants in South Australia earning recognition, including one with two stars and ten with one star each. The selection was conducted by incognito inspectors paid for by the South Australian government to promote the region's culinary scene. The move aims to attract international visitors and establish South Australia as a notable tourism destination.
