Rep Omar's phone seized in criminal probe
Federal authorities investigating Congresswoman Ilhan Omar seized her phone and issued over a dozen grand jury subpoenas, including to some of her relatives, amid an ongoing probe into potential fraud related to her immigration paperwork. The investigation, which led to a search of her Washington, D.C. home, is focused on possible criminal activity and financial disclosures, and is occurring just weeks before the upcoming midterm elections. Omar accused authorities of political targeting and weaponization of law enforcement.
