Jury reviews Cambridge scientist’s workplace affair
A high-profile civil trial in Boston is examining allegations against molecular biologist David Sabatini, charging him with creating a sexually charged and hostile work environment at the Whitehead Institute. The case centers on claims that Sabatini engaged in a consensual relationship with a younger colleague, Kristin Knouse, which she later alleges was coerced and exploited. The jury is reviewing conflicting testimony and texts as they determine whether Sabatini violated workplace policies and what role power dynamics played in their relationship.
