Man reports blindness after Ozempic use
A Maryland man claims that the weight-loss drug Ozempic caused his total vision loss, leaving him legally blind. After starting the medication to manage diabetes, he was diagnosed with NAION, a condition damaging the optic nerve due to reduced blood flow, which led to permanent vision loss in both eyes. He has filed a lawsuit against the manufacturer, Novo Nordisk, alleging insufficient warning about the risk, though the company disputes a causal link.
