Fresno HR chief sued for coercion
A lawsuit accuses a former Fresno Unified School District HR executive of sexually harassing and retaliating against a subordinate, Ja’Vance Coleman, a former college athlete. The lawsuit alleges that the district’s former HR director, Manjit Atwal, pressured Coleman for sex, threatened his family, and manipulated his pay through off-the-books transactions. The case, filed in California, details an ongoing pattern of harassment and retaliation, with the district’s officials allegedly aware but slow to act.
