Amelia Earhart search faces setback
A research team from Purdue University searching for Amelia Earhart's missing plane in a Pacific lagoon has found no conclusive evidence supporting the theory that wreckage is there. Despite uncovering artifacts and clarifying the nature of a satellite-observed anomaly, the expedition did not locate any definitive remains of Earhart's aircraft. The team remains committed to the broader castaway hypothesis that Earhart may have ended up on Nikumaroro, though no direct links have yet been established.
