Parents of Bend shooting victim hire lawyers
Parents of a child killed in a school shooting in Oregon have hired attorneys to investigate the school's safety protocols and how the teenage gunman obtained his weapon. The 16-year-old shooter used a shotgun purchased by his mother to carry out the attack at Silver Rail Elementary, resulting in three children and a teacher being killed, with others injured. Authorities are examining whether the school had sufficient security measures and how the minor gained access to the firearm, which he shot through locked doors to enter the school.
