Golfers discuss Trump's Trash Island plan
President Donald Trump plans to renovate East Potomac Golf Links in Washington, DC, aiming to create a high-level course capable of hosting world-class tournaments. The project involves shutting down the 106-year-old, publicly accessible course for 15 months, prompting legal challenges from preservation groups and local golfers concerned about the loss of an affordable community space. Courts have ordered a halt to the redevelopment until at least October 26, amid debates over the course’s historic value and impact on local culture.
