Rep. Ilhan Omar addressed allegations that she married her brother, calling them "insane," and denied any knowledge of such claims. The allegations, originating from a Somali blog and propagated by right-wing conspiracy theorists, suggest a marriage to help him obtain a green card. Following a federal search of her home related to an immigration fraud investigation, Omar described the raid as intrusive but respectful, stating she plans to move due to threats and security concerns. The investigation involves potential false statements on immigration documents, with officials considering denaturalization and deportation if misconduct is proven. Omar maintains her innocence and confidence in her citizenship.
