DOJ confirms 20,000 noncitizens on California ballots
A federal investigation in California has confirmed that all 20,000 individuals flagged as "likely noncitizens" on the voter rolls did receive mail ballots, with evidence indicating they are not U.S. citizens. The Justice Department has filed a lawsuit seeking to prevent ballots from these individuals from being counted, arguing that California's lax verification processes allow noncitizens to register and vote illegally. California officials dispute the list's reliability and say they lack the authority and access to federal records needed for verification, with some ballots already processed. The DOJ is pressing for court orders to sequester ballots and expedite investigations into noncitizen voting.
