Raye awarded Mercury Prize for This Music May Contain Hope
Raye has won the 2026 Mercury Prize for her second album, *This Music May Contain Hope*, becoming the first pop album to win the award since 1994. The album, featuring 17 tracks and a cinematic story, topped UK charts and received critical acclaim for its innovative style and large-scale production. The award highlights her artistic effort and perseverance, despite delays caused by a robbery of her songwriting materials two years ago.
