Netanyahu's Rule at Risk

Israel’s final election count gave Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s bloc 53 of the Knesset’s 120 seats, while Gadi Eisenkot’s opposition alliance won 48 and Arab parties secured 19, leaving no bloc with the 61-seat majority needed to govern. Coalition talks are beginning, with possible arrangements involving ultra-Orthodox or Arab lawmakers, a unity government, or another election; the outcome remains uncertain. The results are due to be formally submitted to President Isaac Herzog on November 4, and the new Knesset is expected to be sworn in on November 10.
